Jersey City Adds Chef's Table to Dining SceneBy Billy Lyons
December 4, 2013
Following the success of Thirty Acres and word that Dale Talde is heading across the Hudson River, here is more good food news for Jersey City. Local catering company Orange and Olive is opening up a 12-seat chef's table that will serve a ten-course tasting menu four nights a week. Chef Sam Fertik, a Culinary Institute of America grad, opened the catering operation in 2011 with partner Aaron Nemani, but will now be serving tasting menus focusing on local, seasonal ingredients to create dishes like fluke with ginger and yuzu and roasted duck with butternut squash and heirloom carrots. The $110 dinner will be served Wednesday through Saturday and tickets can be reserved here. Wine geeks take note - the chef's table is BYOB for now.
