T-45 Diner to Open in the New Hyatt Times SquareBy Billy Lyons

While a real greasy spoon can be hard to come by these days, Manhattan will have at least one more diner where tourists can recreate their favorite Seinfeld conversations. The T-45 Diner, set in the soon-to-open Hyatt Times Square, plans to debut with a menu offering a somewhat healthier take on traditional coffee-shop fare. Expect to see salads joining burgers and plenty of seasonal pies. Chef Nick Pelliccione, whose resume includes The Bowery Diner and several New York hotels, will oversee operations for the diner as well as the Hyatt's catering services and rooftop lounge. The restaurant, designed by hospitality specialist George Wong Design (of Stone Rose Lounge) will feature traditional red bar stools and a white-tiled floor - though there's no word yet if the iconic blue and white coffee cup will make an appearance. One modern twist: guests will be able to order via the hotel's app and have meals delivered right to their room. The hotel is set to open in early December, and the diner should be up and running right before Christmas.
