Where to Brunch This Weekend: The Red Cat in Chelsea

Jimmy Bradley’s restaurant, the Red Cat will start serving brunch this weekend. The 15-year-old Chelsea institution has summoned executive chef Bill McDaniel to create menu items like a classic huevos rancheros, and Grand Marnier French toast; as well as a few signature Red Cat favorites, including aparicio torta Espaniola, created from a family recipe; and the seasonal heritage grain and farro salad, tossed with squash, pumpkin seeds and roasted onions.

Boozy brunch sips include a Calabrian Fizz with bergamot puree, honey liqueur and bubbles, and their Full Sail “Session” lager for taking it into the early evening.
