Good news for Philly ex-pats and lovers of real cheesesteaks around the country - and anyone looking for a unique gift option. Famous Philadelphia cheesesteakerie Tony Luke’s (which has nearly 20 locations along the East Coast and two in Bahrain) has just introduced a new delivery service, offering all the ingredients needed to make cheesesteaks or roast pork sandwiches shipped anywhere in the U.S.
Orders include enough rolls, pre-sliced rib-eye or pork au jus, cheese and toppings (onions for the cheesesteak, broccoli rabe for the pork) to make eight sandwiches. For your $117.76, you also get the South Philly Cookbook and The Cheesesteak Anthem music EP.
Before you check out, you have the option to add other accoutrements, such as long hots, roasted peppers, spinach or mushrooms for $12.95 each. Everything is shipped frozen along with instructions and recipes for recreating a sandwich nearly as good as the original. Place your order here.
Note: The new website originally listed spinach as coming on the roast pork sandwich instead of rabe, which had us a bit miffed, but Tony Luke's reached out to assure us that it was an error and that it is being corrected as we type.
