It’s time to start planning where to go for Easter brunch. From seaside brunches at Hotel Del Coronado to epic views at Bertand at Mister A’s, we narrowed down the choices to the city’s best bets.
Amaya at The Grand Del Mar: A $58 prix fixe brunch menu includes starters like Greek yogurt parfait and smoked salmon and mains like mascarpone-stuffed French toast and crab Benedict. Everyone gets the "Easter Trio": carrot cake, passion fruit cheesecake and Black Forest trifle for dessert. Brunch hours - 9:30 AM-2:30 PM - are great for early-risers. Avant: Rancho Bernardo’s exclusive restaurant is offering a special three-course brunch with an amuse-bouche from 11 AM to 3 PM. Choose from smoked trout salad or roasted cauliflower and endive salad, seafood bouillabaisse or braised lamb shank and carrot cake or white chocolate coconut mousse for dessert. The Bahia Resort Hotel: Omelet stations, Belgian waffles, turkey with stuffing and peel-and-eat shrimp are just a few items in the spread offered from 10 AM-3 PM. Bertrand at Mister A’s: San Diego’s iconic restaurant hosts a prix fixe Easter Sunday brunch between 10 AM-2 PM. The three-course meal is $49.50 per adult and will feature oven-roasted leg of lamb, prime rib, lobster bisque or Hawaiian French toast and a variety of desserts like strawberry shortcake. Cusp: An interactive pancake decoration station and a stocked brunch bar are just a few options at this La Jolla restaurant. Brunch is served from 9 AM until 3 PM and includes an Easter basket filled with treats for kids on the way out. The buffet is $30 ($12 more for limitless mimosas), and kids under 10 eat for free. Hotel Del Coronado: Enjoy an oceanfront brunch in the Crown Room from 9 AM to 3 PM. Mille Fleurs: Rancho Santa Fe’s Mille Fleurs will host an elegant prix fixe Easter brunch. Priced at $54 per adult, the three-course brunch will feature dishes like white asparagus soup with housemade cinnamon croutons, lamb prepared two ways (grilled and osso buco) and chocolate mousse feuillete and rhubarb gratin with vanilla ice cream and more.
