10 Great Easter Brunches in SF

It's not too late to snag a great reservation for Easter brunch but the time to act is right now. As a reward for planning in advance, here are 10 solid choices that you can consider that cover a range of settings, styles and interests, whether you're looking for something elegant or you prefer a nontraditional approach.

  • Twenty Five Lusk

    Head to SoMa for a refined yet fun-loving three-course prix fixe ($38) from chef Matthew Dolan. Think lobster Benedict, asparagus frittata, fried green tomato BLT and organic strawberry pancakes. Also: mimosas made with freshly squeezed juice. 25 Lusk St.; 415-495-5875
     

  • Saha Arabic Fusion

    Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free eaters should know about brunch at Saha, served on Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM. There won't be overt Easter offerings, but there will be spring specials and dishes like spinach shakshuka, roasted banana pancakes and potato and crab frittata.   • Foreign Cinema

    The popular Mission brunch destination is finalizing the menu options for a three-course brunch ($45, or $20 for children), which will be customizable for each course. No matter what the menu holds, the Sunday Bloody Caesar will be available for your sipping-on-the-patio needs.

  • First Crush

    Brunch service debuted just last week at this restaurant and wine bar and continues on Easter Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. The a la carte menu includes dishes like smoked salmon poached eggs, Dungeness crab sliders and coconut pancakes, with entrees priced from $12-$23.     Park Chalet Garden Restaurant

    Choose from the regular menu outside in the beautiful Golden Gate Park environs or head inside for a buffet brunch ($39.50 or $19 for children 12 and under).     For an Italian take on Easter brunch, get thee to Cow Hollow, where chef Chris Thompson and pastry chef Candace Rowan are offering the regular a la carte menu plus holiday specials like Ceci fettuccine with braised sugo, fava and pecorino and Pastiera Napoletana, an Italian ricotta cheese cake.   • Bistro Boudin

    Locals can - and should - reclaim Fisherman's Wharf on Easter. If you're feeling crabby, pull up for one of the regular bread bowl-clam chowder affairs or a Dungeness crab Benedict, which will be on special on Sunday for $23.95. All diners get to take home a super-cute bunny-shaped loaf of sourdough bread, which is extraordinarily still made from the same starter that was created back in 1849.     Chef Parke Ulrich is pulling out all the stops with a customizable three-course brunch menu ($55) to compete with the stellar Bay Bridge views. Highlights include house-cured Alaskan halibut, American caviar scramble and BBQ tri tip. Meanwhile, pastry chef Emily Luchetti will unleash delights like cardamom phyllo nest, chocolate marquis and fennel creme renverse.     If you want to feel like the city is yours, check out the stunning views here over a decadent buffet brunch ($109 or $59 for children aged two-four). Chef Nenad Stefanovic is preparing entrees such as Alaskan halibut with caramelized fennel, fire roasted peppers and citrus beurre blanc, Kurobuta pork loin with Brussels sprouts and whole-grain mustard sauce and saffron couscous with spring vegetables and Parmesan broth - plus there will be an omelet station and build-your-own buttermilk waffle bar.
