Two new brunch options debut this weekend for your grazing pleasure. Jasper's Corner Tap & Kitchen is starting the "Bad Ass Brunch," with service from 11 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Chef Mike Ransom is cooking up dishes like poblano relleno with roasted pork, poached egg, roasted corn, queso fresco and tomato chile marmalade; chicken fried quail and buckwheat waffles with nectarine, orange sea salt butter and sarsaparilla syrup; and a maitake mushroom frittata with goat cheese, braised leek and roasted tomato vinaigrette, with an array of Bloody Marys, fizzy drinks and royales.
Over in Brisbane, 7 Mile House has launched brunch service for the duration of football season. The joint has been open since 1853, so it's about time! Look for inventive items like Filipino sisig Benedict (pictured - sisig is sizzling pork) on Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
