The Rolling Pin
This new bakery on Yonge St. specializes in gourmet donuts in flavors like  banana rama, blueberry cheesecake and maple bacon.
3429 Yonge St.; 416-691-4554

Rasa Bar
This snack bar from the group behind the Food Dudes quietly opened this week. The menu features gluttonous treats like bone marrow and tartare, egg yolk gnudi, calamari bolognese and soft shell crab.
196 Robert St., 647-350-8221

Shibui Robata Bar
Shibui Robata Bar brings a sophisticated twist to traditional Japanese cuisine by introducing the city’s first authentic hot charcoal robata experience. Guests are guaranteed a true robata with seafood, savoury meats and seasonal vegetables grilled over an open hearth.
230 Adelaide St. W. 647-748-3211

Mata Petisco Bar
This new snack bar in the Parkdale district focuses on South American petisqueria (shared plates). Early reports indicate that the choripan (grilled chorizon on french baguette), ceviche, watermelon and tuna tartare, and baked escondidinho (mashed baked cassava with lobster) are highlights.
1690 Queen St W., 416-627-6460

La Libre
The folks behind the hugely popular Playa Cabana Hacienda restaurant on Dupont have opened their latest, La Libre. The address is the same, La Libre's menu (different from Playa) will be served on the 100 seat outdoor patio space. The menu is Yucatán-themed and many items are cooked over charcoal. We hear the red-snapper cooked in banana leaves dish is a highlight.
14 Dupont St., 416-929-3911
