Bistro Vivant Appoints New Chef

McLean residents will be happy to learn that a chef with some serious cooking chops has taken over the kitchen at Bistro Vivant, which has hired Katie Busch as its new chef de cuisine. Busch most recently worked as executive chef at Hospoda, a Czech restaurant in New York, and also counts Charlie Palmer’s Aureole and David Burke Townhouse among her previous cooking stints.

The Philadelphia native will continue to cook seasonally driven, authentic French food at the well-regarded restaurant. The Washington Post reported in a chat that Busch started the gig December 2 and doesn’t plan to make any big changes until she settles in, although she’s considering adding a few new fish dishes (703-356-1700).
