Washington City Paper reports that the highly anticipated Penn Quarter restaurant Parts & Labor has changed its name to The Partisan. The report says the restaurant, which will be adjacent to the frequently postponed Red Apron Butcher on D St. NW, changed its name after learning that Woodberry Kitchen chef-owner Spike Gjerde has a concept in the works with the same name.
The Partisan and Red Apron Butcher will be the latest from Neighborhood Restaurant Group, which also owns the incredibly hot restaurant The Arsenal in Navy Yard, Birch & Barley and ChurchKey on 14th Street NW, and Vermilion in Old Town.
As of now, the restaurant group is sticking by its latest ETA of February for Red Apron and The Partisan.
