Where to Brunch: Creme on 14th Street NWBy Rina Rapuano

The Spot: Creme
The Gist: This beloved Southern-inspired restaurant closed its doors on U Street at the end of last year when they lost their longtime space due to development. As of a few weeks ago, they’re back in business just up from U Street NW on 14th — which means their famous brunch is back, too. Since they’re still in the soft-opening period, you might even have a chance at scoring a seat in this intimate, fresh dining room.
Eat This: Chicken and waffles, of course. You can’t go wrong with beautifully fried chicken over vanilla-scented waffles. But those Benedicts look pretty good, too, including the Chesapeake, which swaps ham for jumbo lump crab hash.
The Scene: This is multi-culti DC at its finest. Everyone loves Creme’s brunch.
Know Before You Go: According to Twitter, brunchers can order five mimosas for $10 throughout July.
