3 New Jewish Options: Mishkins, The Deli West One and Kosher Roast

Oy vey, you wait years for one Jewish deli and then three come along at once. Well, not quite, but it seems that as the days get shorter and colder, Jewish soul food is just what the doctor ordered.

We've already told you about Mishkins, the Jewish deli with cocktails that is the Polpo team's new project and is set to open towards the end of this month. But if you can't wait that long, and you're in W1, hankering after smoked salmon, pickles, salt beef and the like, make for 51 Blandford Street. Just opened is The Deli West One, a kosher spot serving Ashkenazi staples slap bang in the centre of town – so no more schlepping to Brick Lane when you have a bagel craving.

Word also reaches us of what might just be London's first ever kosher pop-up. Happening on December 4 and December 11 in north-west London, appropriately named Kosher Roast promises "the best kosher Sunday roast you'll EVER have" – check it out and see if you agree – just make sure you don't ever tell your mother their roast potatoes are better than hers (visit the website for more details).
