To help raise funds for the ongoing rebuilding efforts in Haiti after this year’s devastating earthquake, Aldea in the Flatiron is hosting an evening of cocktails and canapes. The May 24 event runs from 5:30–9 PM, and bites include shrimp alhinho with garlic, coriander, pimento and pressed jus; beet meringue with caviar; oysters on the half shell with pickled cucumber; and sea urchin toast with cauliflower cream, sea lettuce and lime ($125 per person; reserve here).
