Craig's Sets the Scene on Melrose

Craig Susser, maître d' at Dan Tana's for 20 years, has opened his own place, Craig’s, a sure-to-be celeb magnet on Melrose's Designer Row serving a moderately priced, mostly Italian menu that includes some old-school American dishes as well – think Chasen's for a new generation; the room’s dark wood and white chandeliers bring an unexpected touch of elegance to a dining scene that's been tottering on the edge of shorts-and-flip-flop looseness.
