Girl & The Goat Hosts a Mangalitsa Guest Chef Dinner

It may be a ways away, but this event is already selling quickly. On Tuesday, November 2, Stephanie Izard will host Giuseppe Tentori (BOKA), Bill Kim (urbanbelly), Mike Sheerin (Blackbird) and Mindy Segal (Hot Chocolate) to partner with her farmer friend Daniel Fox, a Mangalitsa pig farmer, for a "Friends of the James Beard House" benefit at Girl & The Goat. The six-course beer-paired dinner will be focused on local and humanely raised livestock and fall bounty, with dishes including beet risotto with crispy Ibérico ham and truffle juice; braised pork belly with cocoa nibs, celery root and Brussels sprouts; and sweet-potato pie with brown butter butterscotch, Moloko stout, cashew toffee and a wood oven–roasted marshmallow (6:30 PM; $200 per person; 312-492-6262 for reservations).
