Towne Comes to Town This Friday

Two powerhouse chefs – Lydia Shire and Jasper White – are the culinary directors behind Towne Stove & Spirits, opening July 30 adjacent to the Hynes Convention Center in Back Bay, where an all-day menu of fresh, seasonal American fare will be prepared in an exhibition kitchen set behind glass on the second floor; the expansive upstairs dining rooms are replete with oak, antiqued mirrors, artisan chandeliers, horseshoe booths and Shire-designed chairs (plus art from her personal collection), while downstairs an LED-lit resin bar offers corner views of passersby (900 Boylston St.; 617-247-0400).
