This Philadelphia native got his start as a dishwasher at a deli on the Jersey Shore but made big moves upward from there. After training under Wolfgang Puck in Los Angeles, he moved to Italy to learn the art of the cuisine he loves. Building on the experience gained cooking, traveling and eating, and returned home to open his eponymous restaurant in his home city. Osteria and Amis soon followed, much to the delight of Philly residents. Coming soon: an unnamed gastropub.
