Wendy's will reportedly not be exempt from a new local law requiring NYC restaurants to put calorie information on menus in the same font size as product names and prices – despite the fast-fooder's apparent attempt to dodge the rules, which only apply to eateries posting calorie information on or after March 1st.
Prior to that date, Wendy's removed such stats from nutritional posters in its local outlets and posted a note on its Web site stating the info was no longer available to NYC consumers. However, White Castle, which yanked nutritional info across its operations, appears to have skirted the law by casting a wider net. The new law goes into effect in July.
