If it's one thing Jennifer Janesko knows, it's the Kansas City dining scene.
A full-time fine artist, Ms. Janesko has lived, worked and eaten in her hometown of Kansas City for over 30 years. She also has the distinction of being one of ZAGAT.com's top reviewers, single-handedly doubling ZAGAT.com's Kansas City restaurant coverage by contributing more than 100 Member Added reviews as user "jenniferj95359" since June 2007.
Unsurprisingly, Ms. Janesko is quite proud of her hometown’s culinary traditions. “We are more than BBQ,” she told the Buzz via e-mail, “and not everyone here eats meat and potatoes every day. Just like other American cities, our residents travel the world.”
Ms. Janesko's top meal ever was “a tie between Babbo in New York City and Gaig in Barcelona.” Her best dining experience in KC? Well, she still mourns the short-lived New World Bistro. “The seasonal and innovative menu, the young passionate chef and the intimate atmosphere never failed to cultivate a journey of the senses.”
