Halloween is coming, and with it the trick-or-treaters and the inevitable sugar overload. So it seems a good time for the National Confectioners Association to release a list of the "Top U.S. Candy Destinations."
Pulled together from a survey of Americans, the list names Hershey, PA, as the top candy destination in the country. Not surprising considering it's home to the chocolate giant and proudly bills itself as "the Sweetest Place on Earth."
Coming in second place is New York City thanks to Times Square attractions like the M&M World store as well as sweet havens Jacques Torres and Dylan’s Candy Bar. And with the help of saccharine Disney, Orlando managed to edge out San Francisco, the home of sugar landmark Ghirardelli Square, for the third spot.
Rounding out the list are Chicago, LA, Boston, New Orleans, Las Vegas and, finally, Kansas City, MO.
