It's that time of year again. Our 2009 Los Angeles/Southern California Restaurants guide has been released and Wolfgang Puck's Spago has again been voted LA's Most Popular restaurant. In the Food category, Santa Monica's Mélisse has also held onto its crown. This year, however, it's followed by Asanebo, Lucques (which shot up from its previous rank of 23rd), Nobu Malibu (last year's second-place holder) and Shiro. And as for this year's crop of newcomers, Nobu Matsuhisa contintues to work his magic: Nobu LA won for favorite new kid on the block, followed by Bashan, Il Carpaccio, Paperfish and LAMILL Coffee.
