Baconnaise
If you're going to be in the Seattle area on Thursday, October 30th, have we got an event for you. While we normally don't get too excited about product launches, the sheer audacity of this one blows us away. To celebrate their new line of bacon-flavored mayonnaise, Baconnaise, the folks at Baconsalt (seriously) are throwing a wrestling competition in a 200-gal. tank of mayonnaise. Wrestlers signed up for the event include a man dressed as a slice of bacon who will wrestle a man dressed as a jar of mayo, and the company's intern, dressed as "Bacon Boy," versus a local women's rugby team, the Mud Hens. And that's not all: there will also be free BLTs, $3 tequilas and Mitch Morgans (Maker's Mark whiskey with a bacon garnish), and a chance to trade in your "regular" mayo for the bacon variety ($5 per person; doors open 7 PM; Heaven Nightclub, 172 South Washington St., Seattle).
