When it comes to showing the intense demands of a career in the food arts, Top Chef has nothing on Pressure Cooker, an award-winning documentary that follows students through two semesters of a culinary course at a working-class Northeast Philly high school. The students are guided in their chef aspirations by an inspirational teacher, Wilma Stephenson, who led a previous year’s class to more than $750,000 in college scholarships. Opening May 27 at New York's IFC Film Center, the film will then roll out in other cities throughout the summer. For more info and release schedule, click here.
