Toasting Top Nightlife in SF

San Franciscans are still heeding the Beastie Boys’ advice to "fight for your right to party," as evidenced by the results of our just-released eighth edition of the San Francisco Nightlife guide. Of the 2,200 night owls polled, the typical surveyor hits up a local nightspot 1.8 times per week, and consumes 2.9 drinks and spends $40.08 per visit. So what are the party spots of choice? Auberge du Soleil won for Overall Appeal; Lobby Lounge at St. Regis took the prize for Decor; Seasons Bar was ranked No. 1 for Service; and Absinthe proved Most Popular. For those looking to break out of their nighlife rut, notable newcomers this year include La Mar Cebicheria Peruana along the Embarcadero, followed by Gitane and the Castro’s Pisco Latin Lounge; the reincarnated Miss Pearl’s Jam House, now in Oakland, also made the list.
