The long-awaited Standard Grill in the Meatpacking District’s Standard Hotel appropriately offers American standards from chef Dan Silverman (ex Lever House) to a crowd made up of fashionistas, hotel guests and High-Liners; the recession-priced food can be sampled on sidewalk seats along Washington Street, in a casual, white-tiled front cafe or in the main dining room, fitted out with an open kitchen, curvy red-leather booths and floors incongruously lined with pennies.
