Angelenos are feeling the love for Japanese food, according to Zagat's just-released 2010 Los Angeles So. California Restaurants guide. This year, Urasawa replaces Mélisse as No. 1 for Top Food, with Sushi Zo and Matsuhisa also making the top five. Shake-ups can be found on the Most Popular list too: Pizzeria Mozza takes top honors, while former No. 1 Spago drops down a peg. In third place? In-N-Out Burger, up a whopping 12 spots from last year (and top of the heap for Bang for the Buck), driving home the point that diners are continuing to look for deals in this tough economy. Finally, among greenhorns, The Bazaar by José Andrés took home the Top Newcomer gold, followed by Drago Centro, Church & State, Bouzy Gastropbub and Huckleberry Café.
