Through March 9: The 2nd Annual Winter Restaurant Week isn't over yet; you can still make reservations for a three-course prix fixe lunch ($20.07) or dinner ($30.07) at many of the 135 participating venues – among them Antico Forno, flora, LiNEaGe, Marco Cucina Romana, Miel, Silks, Teatro and Vintage.

Through March 9: While not officially participating in the above, Maurizio's welcomes you for Customer Appreciation Week; enjoy your choice of appetizer and entree, plus dessert or a glass of wine, for $31 (617-367-1123).

March 6: Get a taste of "Pisco Cocktails and Peruvian Soul" at Alchemist Lounge. Sponsored by Drink Boston, this public party will provide plenty of punch, literally, plus à la carte tidbits; DJ Brother Cleve spins tunes (7:30 PM; 617-477-5741).

March 8: The Friends of Dana Farber Cancer Institute host the 9th Annual Great Chefs Cooking for a Cure at Downtown's 125 High Street; participants in the benefit gala include Ashmont Grill, Copia, 51 Lincoln, Sweet Basil, Tartufo, Tresca and many more (6:30–9:30 PM; tickets are $90 each; to purchase, visit www.dana-farber.org/friends).

March 12, 19 & 26: The Columbus Avenue branch of Piattini continues Class in a Glass – its four-course wine dinner and discussion series – with "Chianti We All Get Along?" (about Tuscan wines), "Spring Fling" (featuring new, sprightly wines) and the Beaujolais-focused "Gamays People Play" (6 PM; $40 per person; 617-423-2021).

March 13: The Park Square branch of McCormick & Schmick's invites you to a Samuel Adams beer dinner; the five-course feast includes brews from the beloved local plant (6 PM; $48 per person; 617-482-3999).

March 19: The 2nd Annual Tapas Challenge takes place at Tremont 647, as Andy Husbands pits his skills against those of Gargoyles on the Square's Jason Santos and dante's Dante de Magistris to create a three-course dinner in which guests get to judge the results; a sangria and hors d'oeuvres reception precedes the chefly contest (6 PM; $45 per person; 617-266-4600).

March 20: UpStairs on the Square's Monday Club Bar becomes a onetime Tuesday speakeasy: not only will Gypsy Shaeffer put on a show for Jazz Night, but the bar and kitchen will also perform with "improvised" cocktails and small plates. Though there's no cover charge, goodies are à la carte (8:30 PM; 617-864-1933).

March 25: Radius introduces you to "Women Winemakers" in conjunction with BRIX Wine Shop proprietors Carri Wroblewski and Klaudia Mally, who will preside over a vintage-paired dinner (7–10 PM; $125 per person; 617-426-1234).
