Soft-shell crab fans are in luck. Two restaurants, The Metropolitan Club and 51 Lincoln, are offering the seasonal specialties all month long, in no small part because 51 Lincoln now boasts The Metropolitan Club's former chef, Jeffrey Fournier.
From May 1st through 31st, The Metropolitan Club is presenting “31 Days in 31 Ways," meaning 31 ways of soft-shell crabs. Think à la carte specials such as pan-fried crabs with Asian slaw and wasabi mayo or beer-battered, chipotle-fried crabs with tomato and avocado (617-731-0600).
51 Lincoln will offer a similar deal – "30 Days in 30 Ways" – starting a day later, on May 2nd, with the savory crustaceans appearing in a different à la carte dish each night (617-965-3100).
