Fresh from Orrery in London, William Kovel (ex Radius) returns to Boston to head the Four Seasons' signature kitchen, where he plans to give the New French menu a Californian twist.

Cafe Fleuri

The Langham Hotel's Chocolate Bar at Cafe Fleuri gears up for its 18th season. This year, chocoholics can gorge not only on the vast selection of white-, milk- and dark-chocolate cakes, tarts, candies, puddings, cookies and more, but also on chocolate-laced savory dishes and beverages (both spiked and virgin). Open every Saturday from noon to 3 PM starting September 9th; unlimited sampling costs $28 per adult and $14 per child.

Kings Restaurant

DeVille Restaurant & Lounge has officially changed its name to reflect its location adjacent to Back Bay bowling alley Kings; fans can rest assured that nothing else has changed.

Metropolitan Club

At this Chestnut Hill chophouse, chef Todd Winer (ex Olives) is taking over where Jeffery Fournier has left off – seeking to redefine the standard steak dinner.

Panificio

This Beacon Hill cafe has branched out to the Back Bay (61 Mass. Ave.; 617-778-7769), bringing its baked goods, coffee drinks, sandwiches and bistro-style dinner plates with it.

Plum Produce

Barbara Lynch continues her takeover of the South End with this produce market (106 Waltham St.; 617-423-PLUM) opening this month; it will showcase farm-fresh vegetables and fruits as well as housemade pickles and other condiments.

South Street Diner

Formerly 24/7, this Leather District diner has given up the workday grind (and who can blame it?): it's now open 24/3 – Friday through Sunday, that is – while welcoming night owls Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 5 AM.

Tomasso Trattoria & Enoteca

Make the most of Monday nights at this Southborough trattoria, which is dishing up a weekly changing four-course prix fixe menu. $35 gets you an antipasto, primi and secondi piatti and dessert.
