From small plates to family-style dining, Boston chefs are all about sharing these days. Clink, which opened last month at the Liberty Hotel, has built a menu around New American small plates paired with wine flights. Meanwhile, the soon-to-open Persephone in South Boston (283 Summer St.; 617-695-6565) will encourage conviviality by offering dishes like whole fish that feed two to four people. Persephone chef-owner Michael Leviton (Lumière) says, “I really want to get things going in the center of the table – I want to create a lot of fun.” The trend follows the opening earlier this year of the West End's Flat Iron Tapas Bar & Lounge, where the small plates aren’t necessarily Spanish, but innovative American.
