Coming in late December to Fairmont Avenue in Hyde Park is Townsends, an American bistro with Jeff Fournier, star chef and owner of 51 Lincoln in Newton Highlands, acting as consulting chef.
On deck for spring 2008 is Sofra, a Middle Eastern cafe opening in Cambridge on the Watertown line. Ana Sortun, chef-owner of Oleana, is behind the new venue.
Also coming to Cambridge next spring, from the group that brought you
Miracle of Science and Middlesex Lounge, is a new restaurant at 3 Brattle Street in Harvard Square (formerly longstanding student institution Greenhouse Coffee Shop). Its concept is still in development.
Meanwhile, Petit Robert Bistro, the Parisian-style bistro named after chef-owner Jacky Robert (of Maison Robert fame), is planning a third location at 100 City Square in Charlestown in the former Copia space. It's also slated to debut next spring.
