This new year, instead of falling into a post-holiday rut, why not have some fun and learn to cook with a pro? Fairmont Copley Plaza’s 13th annual Celebrity Chefs Culinary Program features classes led by top toques, cookbook authors and rising culinary stars from 1–3 PM on Saturday afternoons, January 12th–February 16th. Classes can be purchased singly or for the entire six-week program ($60 per class, $300 for all six classes; Boston Center for Adult Education, 617-267-4430; www.bcae.org), and are also offered in a package for hotel guests (Celebrity Chefs Weekend Package starts at $299 and includes two tickets and accommodations; 800-441-1414; www.fairmont.com/copleyplaza).

Here's the lineup:

January 12: Hiroko Shimbo, author of The Sushi Experience and The Japanese Kitchen

January 19: Icarus' chef-owner, Chris Douglass

January 26: Laurent Poulain (Fairmont Copley Plaza)

February 2: The Perfect Brunch with Arwi Odense (Oak Room)

February 9: A Taste of Bermuda with Thomas Frost (Fairmont Hamilton Princess) and Christopher Chafe (Fairmont Southampton)

February 16: Mary Ann Esposito, PBS' "Ciao Italia!" host and author of Ciao Italia Slow and Easy
