Head on over to the West End – Johnnie’s on the Side debuts to the public today at 4 PM. Decorated with authentic sports, music and political memorabilia (thanks to co-owner John Caron, a former property manager at Fenway Park who amassed a collection of autographed photos and other items), this eatery had opened to friends and family this week. Formerly Anthem, the spacious restaurant (with vaulted ceilings) is a quick walk to the TD Banknorth Garden, so don’t be surprised if you spot a Bruin or two. It's a welcome addition to an area that’s seen a lot of new residential development over the years (138 Portland St.; 617-227-1588).
