Mother's Day is all about pampering the moms in your life. And that usually involves showering them with gifts, affection and – most definitely – feeding them. Here's what some Boston restaurants have cooking for Sunday, May 11th.
Avenue One: The Hyatt Regency Boston's "cavernous" New American features a buffet brunch with a create-your-own omelet station, along with a luxe raw bar, carving station and sides that range from soba noodle salad to grilled asparagus (seatings at 11 AM, 11:45 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:15 PM, 2 PM and 2:45 PM; $55 per adult; $23 for children age 12 and under; 617-422-5560).
Excelsior: Lobster frittata is part of the draw for this four-course brunch that also includes choices like house-smoked salmon, crabmeat eggs Benedict and flourless chocolate cake (12:30–2 PM; $60 per person; 617-426-7878). The restaurant will also offer its dinner menu from 12:30–8 PM.
Left Bank: Treat mom to a day in the country at Stonehedge Inn and Spa's restaurant, a Contemporary American offering a four-course prix fixe lunch menu that includes a trip to the Grand Dessert Buffet (11:30 AM–6:30 PM; $55 per adult; $25 for children age 12 and under; kids three and younger eat free; 978-649-4400).

Taj Boston: Celebrate with a buffet in the hotel's Grand Ballroom where the springtime spread includes chilled seafood, caviar and blini, artisanal cheeses, antipasti, soups, sushi, pastas, carving stations and children’s treats. But wait – there's more: a jazz trio and photographer will also be on hand (11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM seatings; $98 per adult; $50 children ages four–12; kids under four eat free, 617-598-5255). For more low-key style at the Taj, go for The Café's three-course prix fixe (12–9 PM; $80 per adult; children's à la carte menu also available; 617-598-5255).
