Hyde Park is home to Townsend's, a classy gastropub offering midpriced contemporary American fare and a bevy of microbrews in a minimalist setting where high ceilings, earthy colors and candlelike sconces add a bit of romance to dishes such as a signature lamb shank (a black granite bar has its own menu of cheap eats); N.B. Sunday brunch and an outdoor patio are in the works.
