The event foodies care about most during the upcoming holiday weekend is Chowderfest on Sunday, July 6th. This year's crew of participating restaurants includes Daily Catch, Oceanaire and Turner Fisheries vying for the title of "Boston's Best Chowder." Part of Boston Harborfest, the contest takes place at City Hall Plaza where more than 2,000 gallons of New England’s famed dish will be served to 11,000 samplers (11 AM–6 PM; $10 for adults, $7 for children; 1 City Hall Square; 617-227-1528 ext. 11).
