It has become something of a spectator sport to keep up with the many new restaurants (Persephone, Salvatore's, 606 Congress, etc.) in the Seaport District. Now the Westin Boston Waterfront (425 Summer St., 617-532-4600) is unveiling two more places to eat and drink this fall, joining its Sauciety and Birch Bar. Executive chef Ben Hennemuth will run the kitchens at the second outposts of both City Bar, the sleek nightspot that has its original location in the Lennox Hotel, and the Irish-themed M.J. O’Connor’s, which has long been a cornerstone of the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Look for more seafood options than have been on the menus at the Downtown outposts, as Hennemuth is planning to highlight the Westin's waterfront location.
