Tony Maws, the award-wining chef who earned national kudos for his peasant French fare, has updated, expanded and relocated Craigie Street Bistrot to Central Square in Cambridge. Now called Craigie on Main, the new space boasts an open kitchen (featuring Maws’s dream Molteni cooking suite as center stage) and a dining room that wraps around the open kitchen. The restaurant has also secured a full liquor license – the old location served just beer and wine – meaning there’s now a bar area. Maws continues to offer a daily-changing seasonal à la carte menu, a chef’s tasting menu and a pre-theater menu; he’s also expanded the wine list and added a bar menu that includes charcuterie and a burger made out of local grass-fed beef (853 Main St., 617-497-5511).
