At the annual Taste of the Back Bay, held 50 stories above the neighborhood in the Prudential Center's Skywalk Observatory, guests can enjoy live jazz while nibbling on bites from a bevy of eateries including Azure, Blu and Mantra (6:30–9:30 PM; $85 per person; buy tickets). To sample Boston at large, mosey over to the Hynes Convention Center for the annual Share our Strength benefit, Taste of the Nation, featuring food from 70 area restaurants (including Gargoyles on the Square and Rialto) and wine from more than 40 wineries, plus a silent auction and live entertainment (6:30–9 PM; $85 per person in advance, $85 at the door; buy tickets).
