With fall almost here, it's time to look forward to the restaurants soon to hit the area:
Bobby’s Grille: This newcomer will offer American fare when it opens just west of Newton Lower Falls sometime this fall (11 Washington St., Wellesley Hills; twitter.com/bobbysgrille; 781-235; 2345).
Burger Bar: Todd English is prepping his take on an upscale burger joint in the Theater District (255 Tremont St.). Related: English has also declared that he’ll help his daughter, Isabelle, open Curly Cupcakes, a bakery named for his daughter’s locks, at 81 Charles Street in Beacon Hill.
Coppa: Within days, this Italian from Ken Oringer and his partner, Jamie Bissonnette, will make its debut in the South End's former Dish space. Expect wood-grilled pizzas, small plates of pasta and a wine bar (253 Shawmut Ave.).
Ledge: This American will take the place of Donovan’s Tavern in the Lower Mills section of Dorchester later this month (2261 Dorchester Ave.).
Market: Boston will get a taste of Jean-Georges’ handiwork when he opens a branch of Market in the forthcoming W Hotel in the Theater District, slated to debut this October (100 Stuart St.).
Post 390 Restaurant & Bar: This refined comfort-focused New American, opening this fall at the new Clarendon luxury condos in the Back Bay, boasts Eric Brennan, formerly of Excelsior and Harvest, as executive chef (400 Stuart St.).
Singh's Indian Restaurant: Wellesley Italian restaurant Vela will be transformed into this Indian by early fall (312 Washington St.; Wellesley).
Stoddard’s Fine Food and Ale: This New American will debut later this month in Boston’s Ladder District, between the Theater District and Downtown Crossing (10 Temple Pl.).
Woodward: Coming to The Ames, another luxury boutique hotel near Faneuil Hall, this two-story upscale tavern will serve seasonal regional fare from executive chef Mark Goldberg, formerly of Mistral (1 Court St.).
