Now that you've signed up for our wine club, learn more about everyone's favorite drink from the people who make it. One Thursday a month, Tomasso Trattoria & Enoteca in Southborough hosts a wine tasting with winemakers on hand. You'll get a lesson on the four S's of oenophilia – see, swirl, smell and sip – accompanied by fare from chef Justin Melnick. October 15 focuses on "the best Italian wines you've never heard of;" November 19 brings "Barbera: Italy's Most Versatile Wine;" and December 17 puts the spotlight on dessert wine (7 PM; $30 per person; limited seating; 508-481-8484).
