Crazy for all things Potter? Hop on your broomstick and head over to the Museum of Science, where Harry Potter: The Exhibition is happening from October 25–February 21, 2010. Offering dramatic displays inspired by the Hogwarts film sets, looks into the craftsmanship behind the film's costumes, props and more, it's a Potterphile's dream. But afterward, where to eat?
Dante, an Italian charmer in East Cambridge, is just a quick walk away in the Royal Sonesta Hotel, right on the Charles, perfect for enjoying your meal with a lively view (617-497-4200).
Also a short walk is Bambara, a kid-friendly American in the Hotel Marlowe where you can grab a burger or sandwich (617-868-4444).
You won't need Floo powder, just a quick MBTA ride, to get to Johnnie’s on the Side, an upscale-casual dining option where children are welcome. And though there are no Quidditch banners, the sports paraphernalia should keep the tykes entertained (617-227-1588).
Finally, if you’re looking to eat like an Italian Muggle, head to Nebo, a funky upscale dinner spot on the cusp of the North End (617-723-6326).
