Da Vinci in Park Square is celebrating through October 31 with a pumpkin soup amuse-bouche, as well as pumpkin gelato ($8) and pumpkin crème brûlée ($10) as dessert options. On Halloween, there will also be custom-crafted cocktail specials like "blood red" sangria and "Leonardo’s fallen angel" for $8 each (5–10:30 PM; 617-350-0007 for reservations).

The Waterfront's Sensing will be serving four- and five-course prix fixe menus on October 31 (5:30–10 PM; $50 and $65, respectively). Then on November 1, the New French will also offer a special Halloween-themed brunch, with menu options like "Boo...berry" pancakes with raspberry "blood" topping (10:30 AM–2:30 PM; 617-994-9001).

Andy Husbands, chef-owner of South End’s Tremont 647, will get in the spirit with his annual "Nightmare on Tremont Street" party. Swing by anytime after the clock strikes 10 PM for complimentary appetizers, cheap drinks and tunes spun by a DJ (10 PM–1 AM; 617-266-4600).

Vox Populi is throwing its yearly "Halloween Bash," where guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails from 6:30–8 PM. A tarot card reader, spooky bites, a DJ and a memory-making photo booth add to the fun. Prizes and giveaways will be available, including a $1,000 cash prize for the best costume, with second and third place receiving a $250 gift card for the bar (6:30 PM–1 AM; $20 per person; ages 21 and older; 617-424-8300).

Finally, for those looking for some scares on the sea, take a spook-tacular dinner cruise on the Spirit of Boston, complete with dancing, a plentiful "boo-fet," DJ entertainment and a costume contest (6:30 PM boarding at 200 Seaport Blvd.; 7–10 PM cruise; $83.90 per person; 866-310-2469; make reservations here).
