Past the fake palm trees and ’70s-era facade lies the comfortably posh Five O'Clock Steakhouse, descended from Milwaukee’s popular 1948 original; the owners of the defunct Chicago Prime Steakhouse have returned to their roots in the Northwest ’burbs, serving expensive meat (‘choice or higher’) in a handsome retro setting with a massive fireplace and a convivial old-guard barroom, which offers a separate sandwich menu; N.B. there’s an outdoor patio with fire pit overlooking a pond.
