Prolific restaurateur/designer/idea guy Jerry Kleiner (Carnivale, Marché, Opera, Red Light, etc.) strikes again. His latest is Room 21, a sprawling Loop New American that was once a warehouse and speakeasy run by Al Capone (2110 S. Wabash Ave; 312-328-1198).
Another big-budget production is Alhambra, a sumptuously exotic Market District newcomer featuring chef Eric Aubriot, most recently of the defunct Narra, who is now trying his French-trained hand at Middle Eastern cuisine (1240 W. Randolph St.; 312-666-9555).
