On Tuesday, May 14th, the last cleaver was tossed at
Benihana's Streeterville location. The restaurant joined a list of others that didn't make it through spring:
Brett's Café Americain, a Roscoe Village New American, closed April 29th, leaving space for the newest
outpost of Orange, which is scheduled to open in late May.
Meanwhile, two Eclectic eateries, the Speakeasy Supperclub in Edgewater and X/O Chicago in Lakeview, have gone dark.
And the debate between those who missed the old environs of Pasteur and those who favored the newly upscaled version can end – it closed on April 28th. Fans can still head to its sister restaurant, Viet Bistro & Lounge, which opened its doors earlier this year in Rogers Park.
