The popular Taste of Chicago draws big crowds to Grant Park.
It's time for the Taste – Friday, June 29th, is kickoff day for the annual Taste of Chicago, which brings together 70 restaurants in the Loop’s Grant Park for a gonzo food fest, not to mention free concerts and fireworks on Tuesday, July 3rd. This year’s participants include BB’s, Costa’s, Deleece, Harry Caray’s, The Grill on the Alley, Potbelly Sandwich Works and Vermilion. And don't forget to pick up your free Chicago miniguide and 60-day ZAGAT.com trial card at the Zagat booth, which will be located on Columbus Drive, just north of the entrance to Buckingham Fountain, from July 4th–8th (11 AM–9 PM daily, through July 8; festival runs till 10 PM on July 3 and 8 PM on July 8; $7 for a strip of 11 tickets; complete information available at www.tasteofchicago.us).
