River North Mexican Zocalo is getting into the spirit for Halloween and Day of the Dead. On October 31st, the restaurant will feature $6 tequila cocktails, DJ Miguel Martinez spinning from 10 PM–2 AM and a costume contest with prizes like a $200 gift card or a bottle of Don Julio tequila (free admission before midnight; $5 after). Halloween also sees the launch of El Dia de Los Muertos specials, including roasted pumpkin soup spiced with cinnamon and habanero  ($6) and pechuga de pato en salsa de naranja ($18), a pan seared duck breast served over creamy orange sauce, accompanied with spicy-sweet potato and pearl onions (specials run until November 2; 312-302-9977).
