On Black Friday, November 28th, Andrés Lara, the new pastry chef at the Gold Coast's popular French NoMI, is launching La Boule de Noël, a temporary holiday macaron boutique in the Park Hyatt. Open every Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30–6:30 PM until December 31st, the pop-up mini-store will be offering a daily variety of six to eight French macarons like hazelnut praline, gingerbread, salted caramel–pecan and lemon for $2 apiece or $18 for one dozen in a gift box. Patrons are invited to enjoy their macarons in the hotel's library accompanied by a cup of espresso, coffee or tea. Seating is on a first come, first served basis (800 N. Michigan Ave.; 312-335-1234).
