The nightlife impresario behind La Pomme Rouge is serving his mother’s Middle Eastern–Palestinian recipes at Chickpea, a cash-only arrival in a skinny West Town storefront, where the earthy, colorful setting includes movie posters, Moorish pendant lighting and a genie-themed pinball machine; N.B. there’s no booze served, and BYO isn’t allowed.
